Challenge

Existing e-commerce platforms suffered from a lack of shopper engagement and an inability to convey brand stories effectively, while social media and gaming platforms weren't optimized for seamless commerce. The significant business challenge was to design a new paradigm that could overcome these limitations and capture the future of social shopping.

My Role & Key Contributions

- Led the foundational strategy and vision for the platform, identifying key market problems including static e-commerce, social media's commerce gap, and untapped potential in metaverse/gaming for broader e-commerce.  
- Drove the comprehensive planning phase, outlining the core features and user experience for a "Gamified Spatial Social Commerce Platform." This included defining the blend of 3D immersive experiences, contextual brand engagement spaces, community-centric features, and AI-driven personalization.  
- Spearheaded the prototyping and design concepts, visualizing the user interface and user journey. This involved mapping out how users would find personalized recommendations, virtually try on items, discover live immersive events/stores, engage in community spaces, and make seamless purchases.  
- Defined the technological pillars, including mobile/web/VR accessibility, 3D hyper-realistic avatars and environments, a phygital marketplace, multi-user interactivity, AR try-ons, AI personalization, and brand analytics dashboards.  
- Outlined the initial go-to-market strategy, including targeting influencers and early-adopter brands, and defining user acquisition and engagement tactics.

Impacts & Results

- Produced a fully articulated strategic vision and detailed product plan for an innovative immersive social commerce platform addressing key gaps in the existing market.
- Developed initial designs and prototypes that clearly illustrated the intended user experience and platform functionalities.
- Outlined a comprehensive technology stack and a phased development roadmap.
