Challenge
The intersection of fashion and Web3 was highly fragmented, with interested individuals and brands lacking a central hub for education, networking, and collaborative innovation. The business challenge was to create and scale a self-sustaining community that could bridge this gap and drive meaningful engagement while being an equitable organization focused on impact.
My Role & Key Contributions
- Community Architecture & Growth: Founded and scaled a vibrant global community, establishing its structure, defining its mission, and managing cross-cultural communication and contributions.
- Communications: Launched and managed key communication channels (Discord, Twitter Spaces, weekly member calls) to maintain relationship with the community. Organized 1-1 calls with interested audience to vet, engage and onboard members.
- Content & Event Strategy: Developed and executed a content and event strategy (virtual and physical) focused on education (e.g., Generative AI in Fashion) and collaboration(e.g., contests).
- Partnerships & Sponsorships: Secured significant sponsorships (e.g., NEAR Foundation) and forged international partnerships (e.g., partnership with Nolcha Shows for NYFW) to amplify reach, provide member value, and ensure community growth.
- Thought Leadership & PR: Represented The Fashion DAO at global conferences and recognized industry publications, building recognition and credibility.
- Performance Measurement: Established KPIs to measure community health and engagement, using data to refine strategies.
Impact & Results
- Scaled the community from zero to over 200 active members across continents, with events reaching over 500 global participants.
- Secured international recognition in top industry conferences (e.g., NFT.NYC, NFT.London, DcentralCon), recognized publications (e.g., Vogue Business, Cointelegraph) and sponsorships from major brands and web3 organizations( e.g., NEAR Foundation), validating the DAO's credibility and impact.
